Kris, a photographer, came to my studio

My good friend Kris Hundt, who is a professional photographer, came by my studio for a visit and we ended up laughing, talking philosophy, and she took some really cool pictures. She clicked while I painted. It was a wonderuos thing. If you scroll down, I have posted some of the pictures she took.

All Day Painter

My work is structured in the form of sentences. It is orientated on the horizontal and read left to right. The images are symbols or hieroglyphics that are revealing a story. However, because of the contextual shift the symbols have undergone, the viewer is invited to create their own story based on the enculturation and experiences of their own life. The shapes underneath provide texture and dimension which I equate to the senses and act as a connection the physical world.

Sparkling

It was so sparkly Sparkly like concrete Such wild flowery words In the middle of the freeway I didn't notice the cars and the trucks and the sparkling concrete Running from it Running to it was the same thing How do I learn the difference When do I learn the difference Where do I learn the difference What color is the difference What shape is the difference What street do I turn on What belly do I go in How come I didn't know this How come I couldn't see that I didn't notice the belly was sparkling
